Catholic Charities of Central Florida – St. Joseph

I have called many times for help and left my phone number and never a call back ever. A Spanish woman named Lana on Lemon street in Lakeland and another person in Winter Haven. Very disappointed. I doubt that they will help at all. Anyone else have same experience?

Many Blessings to all. I contacted them & explained that I needed emergency rental assistance due to the loss of both my jobs. I was incarcerated for 9 days in Polk county, and due to this I lost my Lyft & Uber jobs bc Polk county posted on my record the charges. I was proven guilty without pleading to any of the charges 🤷 or going to court. When I did go to court on the 1st of this month, the court date was extended to 12/12/2024 of this year. I asked them for any assistance they can provide. I was informed the following; Due to your incarnation, you do not qualify for any assistance. Also we do not have funds at this time. I am greatful for reviews due to there transparency. I am leaving my review and hope this can help those whom have gone through what I have been going through. I haven't lost my faith in the Catholic church. I have a better understanding that this Organization Catholic Charities isn't what they claim or the transparency is within a gray line of whom they believe should or shouldn't be helped. This Organization should post whom they decides should be help & whom they can't service. Thank You all many blessings
