Survivors - beware! My sister utilized CADA to obtain life saving support to leave her abuser. An “advocate” currently on payroll at CADA House is in an intimate relationship with my sister’s abuser. After CADA was made aware of this unethical situation, CADA has done NOTHING to support my sister or to proceed in an ethical manner. Instead of properly handling the situation, they proceeded to publicly award the advocate for “good work.” My sister had the courage to speak against this - highlighting the wrong and the hurt behind positively reinforcing unethical behavior from a professional that’s role is to act as an advocate. She was met with gaslighting and silence. My sister has since been blocked and the post remains on all platforms. CADA, your actions have perpetuated the abuse cycle and retraumatized those your duty was to care for. I am disgusted by your response and action to this concern - an issue you need to address urgently. Shame on you, CADA House.
