Not a good place. If you don’t have transportation or employment, do not come here. The buses stop running early during the weekday and don’t run on weekends.. If you have a job where this is a requirement. There’s favoritism, meal portions are to small, and certain clients are treated unfairly. I think it’s unfair how this place is a 30 day shelter and it’s for women or men that have experienced sexual abuse, or domestic violence. I don’t see how this is enough time to heal. I’ve experienced both, and it’s definitely not a good place to recover. That’s no privacy, or enough isolation at this location.

I was bullied by another resident for weeks and have video proof.. I went to the Ra’s in the front office and even spoke to she shelter managers about this resident… she even had others attack me verbally and nothing was done.. but today this resident had been rude to my child who is 8yrs old so I started recording for my safety and was told I was being exited… The other reviews are right about the meal portions… some of the workers are really nice including the child care worker Alexis.. she’s very very sweet and good with the kids… the counselor is amazing… but other than that.. try to avoid this shelter and try to get in other shelters if you have a child.. I will not be deleting the videos that I have of this resident.. and her friend that’s also a resident that cussed me out in front of the shelter manager.. in the handbook it states bullying is not permitted but I in fact dealt with even more domestic abuse here and nothing was done…They will also pack you in rooms with other residents and barely have any space to move around in the room..

I had a great experience with them. I had no idea who to turn to when DV happened to me and my daughter. We received counseling & while I was hoping for legal services as well the office is a little disorganized and never heard anything back after following up many times which is why I have 4 stars instead of 5. But if you’re someone in need they do their best to help you.
