In January 2024, a woman I was dating from Seaport digitally penetrated me without my consent. I tried calling this number for help and was hung up on me three times in a row. I was suffering internally due to what happened to me. To this day, I question my sexuality on a frequent basis.

I called the hotline in October. I was told that I would receive a phone call back 24-48 business hours. I waited for about five days and I called the number that they gave me. I was told that they has no record of me calling so I repeated what I needed. She said that she would call me "right back." Three days passed and no call back so I called back to followup. She told me to stop calling her and that it was considered harassment. I made one call to her after I waited what I felt was a reasonable time for a followup which was three days. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that perhaps she wrote my number down incorrectly and tried reaching me but the way she acted I knew I was a burden just by asking her to do her job, I tried calling the Executive Director to file a complaint and not sure if I spoken to her or her admin/assistance but they were rude as well with zero interest. She said, "ok. anything else?" after I expressed my concern. Not a thank you for bringing it to her attention. Not an I am sorry that you were treated this way. Not a let me get someone else on my team to follow up with you to help you get the resource that you need. Nope, just an "ok, anything else?" Reading all the other reviews this organization seems to have some very serious management issues. If BARCC ever mistreated you, the staff at BARCC ever abused you, if they ever ignored you, threatened you please know it is NOT your fault. You deserve to be supported through this journey not dismissed. If they can not provide the support that they need at the very least be transparent and polite. I would totally understand if she called me back and said, "I am sorry but we can offer you support because our staff does not have anyone for that" but the way she yelled at me and threatened me was uncalled for.

Very unprofessional. Unfortunately this is a very poorly run organization. Same issues as everyone else. I would not recommend this if you are looking for support. Shame on these people.
