Have a brother who is bipolar and schizophrenic who is going through an extreme episode. Called the police and they requested a call to DHS. When the police arrived my brother walked away after seeing them. Showed the police videos of how he has been acting. Threatening violence, talking to himself, yelling at people, walking in the middle of the street, threatening to kill, and demanding money. The DHS person I spoke with refused to do anything to help. Claimed that because he was not here she didn’t want to come assess him. The police even told her that he is walking on foot and his location and they could easily find and detain him. If there is a crisis be sure to have someone call Emergency Services from your funeral and maybe then they might come to do their job.
