Emily Litchfield rated 5 a month ago Great organization with an admirable mission of supporting youth in foster and kinship care. The staff and volunteers have such big hearts and I am proud to know them. |
Sharon Cook rated 5 2 months ago The only reason why I'm giving this place a five stars is because I've been going here for quite a while and they have always been so nice and such beautiful people work there I wouldn't want to go nowhere else but helping hands but today I went to pick up beds clothing all kind of items for six children that is in foster care and it was such hard for me to shop and get them the things that they need and I came for the young lady was rushing me she felt like I was trying to take things and put them on the cart I just felt very uncomfortable and then I said did you get Maxwell clothing she said I don't know I think I got I don't know whatever their names are she had a clipboard there with my children name so I politely said their names are such and such such and such and such and such I felt like breaking down as I felt a teardrop come from my eyes I automatically left the room to go get someone that I filled was higher up and told them what the problem was and she said she was very sorry and that she don't think that's what the issue was I didn't tell her everything that had happened because I am thankful for the belongings and everything they gave me but you should not have to go anywhere and feel like you're less than and you're not worthy this young lady made me feel like I should be ashamed by getting all of these things I mean I never in my life been treated like this before and it is not helping hands that I am upset about it is the staff that was working with me I feel like she needs more training and I believe she owes me an apology and I did politely tell her I said sweetie if you wish to do that to someone else they might get offended because I was my children have names and you are treating me like you don't like your job or I did something wrong so again I had a very bad experience today but this was the first time ever because I have never had a incident with helping hands ever I recommend this place to anyone but today was not a good day for me. 😭 😭 😭 |
Pradda Love rated 1 2 months ago My Children and I Just left Arizona Helping Hands "back to school back pack give away event. That was advertised on News Channel 3 and the CEO Marren turned my 3 children and I away because it was not a public event it is only a event for children in their organization. They should have been more specific on there New briefing . My children and I left there embarrassed and miss lead and they only offered us a water and sent us on our way after the long drive there. I have a New Perspective on Arizona Helping Hands .There are not helping all children just the children in their organization. All kids should have been able to participate and they don't make exceptions! |

Elmer Defoor rated 5 11 months ago My wife and I have had our five grandbabies placed with Us by DCS. If it wasn't for The helping hands organization, really don't know what we would have done. It helped us with beds, clothing, miscellaneous school supplies. If you have your provider paperwork, go see them. If you're doing okay and have a little bit extra please donate! They do good work for the community! |
