Recently, I had an experience with Aid for woman at their Flossmoor location, and it was truly wonderful. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I also met a woman who continued to support me afterward — she consulted me, guided me, and recommended a counseling program that turned out to be very helpful.
The nurse who did my pregnancy test and the lady at the front desk were both so kind and friendly that I left the center feeling genuinely uplifted.
I’m really grateful that places like this exist — centers that truly support young mothers and make them feel seen, cared for, and understood.

I am currently 3 months pregnant and my insurance was taking longer than expected to go through. I was extremely nervous about the baby and if everything was alright. I called here as I just felt so lost and out of options and every doctor I called would not take me because I was uninsured or I would have to spend money I didn’t have. As soon as I walked in the doors I broke down because of how kind they all were. They eased my mind and gave me many resources to help. I can’t express enough how much they helped out my mind at ease. It gave me strength and I ended up calling and getting insured immediately that day. I felt so lost and scared and these women here really helped and have me the strength to do what I needed. I can not express enough my gratitude to them all. When no one else would help they took me In immediately and made me feel like I was a person and not just a dollar symbol. I will forever be thankful for all these amazing women.

If you have a positive pregnancy test and are looking for resources, aid for women is an amazing place to look. I was able to confirm my pregnancy with an ultrasound at around 5 weeks and if you have the opportunity to participate in the parenting classes online I would because you learn so much and also get a lot of things your baby will need by completing the quizzes every 2 weeks. I was able to earn points and exchange them for baby clothes, diapers, wipes and even more. I was also able to enter a raffle and won a brand new stroller/ car seat for my baby girl. Thank you so much to Connie and the whole team for being a great help throughout my whole pregnancy and the first few months of postpartum.
