If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I was enrolled in the Addicare BIPP program and was kicked out just four weeks before graduating, after completing over 20 weeks of classes with perfect attendance, paying every fee, and never once being warned, written up, or told there was any issue with my participation. The instructor and director, Marsha Ramsey, handled my situation in an extremely unprofessional and dishonest way. On the very day I was dismissed, I had already driven all the way to class and showed up in person, fully prepared to participate. Had she allowed me to attend, I would have had only three sessions left to graduate. Instead, she abruptly kicked me out without reason and later lied to my probation officer, falsely claiming that I was disrespectful, rude, and never did my homework — none of which was true. What makes this even worse is that there were no prior warnings, emails, or negative notes about me during my entire time in the program — not one. Everything had been documented and signed by her for every single class I attended. When other BIPP programs offered to accept my completed 20 weeks and transfer my progress, she refused to cooperate or verify anything. It was entirely up to her to sign off confirming my successful participation, and she refused to sign the letter, even though she had personally signed every attendance date during those 20 weeks. Then, she tried to claim I hadn’t taken as many classes as I actually had — which made no sense since she had signed off on each one herself. Because Marsha Ramsey serves as both instructor and director, there was no one above her to appeal to or file a complaint with. I was left completely stuck — with no accountability on her end, no explanation, and no way to defend myself after months of work. Thankfully, I have since completed my program through Hope’s Door / New Beginnings, and the difference was like night and day. That program, led by Cliff, is respectful, fair, and truly focused on helping people grow and take accountability. Addicare, on the other hand, felt toxic, controlling, and more concerned with money and authority than with rehabilitation or integrity. If you’re required to take BIPP, avoid Addicare at all costs. Go somewhere that treats people with honesty, fairness, and respect — because this program does not.

I can’t say enough good things about Addicare Group of Texas. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with compassion, understanding, and genuine care. The staff is incredibly professional and truly committed to helping each person on their journey toward recovery. What stood out most to me is how supportive and non-judgmental the environment feels. They really take the time to listen and provide the tools and guidance needed to make lasting changes. It’s clear they care about every individual’s success, not just while they’re in the program but also in preparing them for life after treatment. If you or a loved one are looking for a place that combines expertise, empathy, and encouragement, I highly recommend Addicare Group of Texas. They go above and beyond to make a real difference in people’s lives. Thank you Jay, Melinda and staff.
