Advocating Opportunity (AO) works to end human trafficking and exploitation through legal and holistic advocacy. They provide direct holistic legal services, support, and advocacy for trafficked and exploited persons using a trauma-responsive, legal, and human rights-based framework. They also offer training for legal professionals, courts, law enforcement, and others who work with trafficked and exploited persons, as well as workshops for clients to help them on their journeys of healing. AO has developed a Resiliency Model to support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, and are involved in various initiatives to address the needs of trafficked and exploited persons, including sustainable housing, empowerment, education, and employment opportunities. The organization also provides comprehensive services such as safe reporting, privacy protection, media guidance, and resource guide for clients.
