I love the experience, they were very helpful gave good advice

Let’s take a walk back in time. In 1996, I was just 17 years old when I found out I got a Christmas present that I would have the rest of my life. I had people playing tug of war with what I should do because I was so young. I chose life! I was in the Baby Love Program through the health department, and my case worker made me an appointment with The Pregnancy Care Center at the time now known as Your Choice Resource Center. Being a young girl coming to terms with becoming a mother who is still in high school was scary. This organization helped me so much. I was one of those kids who knew it all until I didn’t! I am very grateful God put them here to help us make better choices and to know we have choices. I was brought up somewhat in church as a child, but I had nothing consistent in my life to guide my walk in faith. I started taking home with me the printed Bible studies and while I was earning vouchers for doing them, something greater was taking place! I was getting to know my Lord and Savior and growing a relationship with Him! I watched videos and learned more than I thought I knew about children and parenting. I wanted everything they had to offer to build my knowledge in all things. Being a young girl and pregnant out of wedlock was frowned upon with part of my family and talked about by the other side of my family. It was hard not having a support system. We are all sinners, and we fall short of His glory daily. Your Choice helped me to see that God still loved me in all my mess, and I was forgiven and that this child I had been given was a true gift. Fast forward to 2013. My mother and I were leaders of a Girl Scout Troop. We hosted a community project and threw a baby shower and invited all the troops in our county to attend. The sad part is no one showed up except our girls! They took the money we raised selling cookies and said let’s go shopping and so we did! When we got done, we loaded up and took everything to Your Choice Resource Center to help others come to know Jesus and know there is a better way and there is help! Now here we are in 2025, and my daughter is about to be a mother for the first time. We go to church every Sunday, we are a part of the kid's ministry, and she is attending Your Choice Resource Center. Watching videos with her is still teaching me new things today and has me looking back at the things I did as a mother that I should have done differently and helping me even still today with the kids at church as well as my granddaughter who is 5. Full circle for me! The things that they are able to do now verses when I was attending for myself is just amazing. This place is truly a blessing for all and centered on Christ and His values! Thank you for everything you have done in my life and my children’s lives.
