The staff here lied to me and made me very uncomfortable. I needed my annual STI test, and being a teenager new in town at the time without an established doctor I thought "Oh, it's free, perfect!". Before they would give me the test they made me look at graphic images of genitals with STIs. They claimed the CDC required I be shown these images, but after establishing care elsewhere I was informed this was not true. They also claimed they were required to ask questions about my past sexual abuse experiences, and I shared because they told me I had to. They did not offer me any resources or support, all they did was make me cry. I have also been informed that this is not a requirement and the experience was unprofessional and inappropriate.

Everyone was super helpful and supportive. They provided me with many resources for further care and answered any questions that I had. I didn’t feel pressured at all in any way. I would definitely recommend Whatcom County Pregnancy clinic to anyone needing support.
