Years ago I went with a girlfriend as she was looking for unbiased information. They would not allow me to go back with my friend so I waited in the waiting room. Mind you she was only there for information, yet she had to go in alone? Once she was finished and came out she was horribly distraught and sickened by the way she was talked to. These women there, were counseling explained to her that she only had one choice and and other choice would be a sin and she would be unloved by God. Most definitely pushing and coercing women into what they believe. Although my friend had already decided that she would be having her child, she was highly disturbed by the way in which she was treated and the things that were said to her at Spero. So I am here to warn you, if you’re looking for a neutral opinion, neutral Counseling, neutral information.. Spero is NOT your place.

I have several questions before I can use or recommend this service. What are the qualifications of your medical staff? Who is your medical director and what are their qualifications? Is your lab to perform ultrasounds and pregnancy tests certified with the State of Michigan? Who does your record reviews (i.e, to double check you give correct information regarding gestation to the pregnant individual) What are your quality and infection control standards? As a "Medical Facility", I would imagine you easily have all of the answers available. Thanks! :) Edit to answer the owners question- yes I should have addressed this in my original review earlier! Was horribly disappointed by the judgement I faced myself and witnessed you give to others when your organization was at a community event. So sad for individuals that are actually looking for real resources and medical advice instead of religious bullying and manipulation, and misinformation.. Marketing yourself as somewhere to get help is wholy inaccurate, when all you truly do is discourage people with uteruses from getting (what may be) necessary healthcare. I was truly curious if you had any staff that are licensed medical professionals. Thanks for confirming what I had figured to be true! The silence is deafening. If you are looking for help, please reach out to a legitimate licensed medical facility and ask questions about their intent and mission.

I would love to give this place more stars but I did not appreciate so many questions about my religious preferences, especially asking me if there was any way they could change my mind. If you don’t want to have Christian values shoved down your throat, do not go here. Not all of us are Christian and there’s nothing wrong with that. Freedom of religion is in the constitution.
