Wonderful people that offer a HAND UP, not a handout. Great parenting programs and lots of support!!

First off, in case you are wondering; this is a "crisis" pregnancy center. As someone who is staunchly pro-choice, this is not the place to go if you are considering abortion (a legal and safe choice). Go to a PP instead, as these crisis centers are known for not giving factual, medical, judgement-free information about abortion. That being said, if you're facing an unexpected pregnancy but already know you will carry to term (to parent or otherwise), I think you will find LPRC to be a wonderful place to deal with your "crisis" pregnancy. Everyone who works here is friendly, kind, and supportive. Because they REALLY want you to carry to term, they do offer a LOT of resources-including a program where you can actually earn baby stuff just by attending parenting classes. I came here to confirm my pregnancy via ultrasound as I have been unemployed for over a year thanks to the pandemic, and don't have health insurance. No ob-gyns I found would even consider booking me even tho I told them I would self-pay...absurd! And no local PPs offered this service either, which frankly is extremely disappointing to me. Thankfully, I was able to get this service for free at LPRC-along with a list of medical providers who aren't as, well, discerning about what insurance a patient has ( or lack thereof). I did apply for NJFamilyCare, but lets be honest-this is NJ and I probably won't even get approved until baby is born in October. So I greatly appreciate any help that is available to me, and LPRC goes above and beyond to help you find care you need. Since they are a "crisis" center they're a bit heavy on Jesus, which personally is not my thing-but when they asked if I were religious, I said "no" and that was it (no preaching or proselytizing). They knew I was there solely to ensure my pregnancy was viable, and respected that. The office is clean and follows Covid protocol (very important to me as I am a survivor of Covid). I even got some pictures from my ultrasound! I did leave my appointment feeling more confident that I will be able to birth and raise this baby, despite my current financial situation.

Everyone here is beyond sweet. They are so compassionate and truly so informative and helpful. Such a great experience when I came in. Highly recommend to any and everyone!
