After being referred by several clinics, I was refused service because my “situation wasn’t vulnerable enough.” Lack of empathy considering I’m pregnant and postpartum and cannot afford services. I just started working after being on leave for postpartum mental health. I did not get paid for this leave which I explained to the receptionist. After placing me on hold, they decided I could not be seen. Every facility I’ve called since says they’ve never heard of that before. Not helpful at all. Luckily a helpful facility that deems my situation vulnerable and important enough to provide support. Im driving an hour out for this service, but it’s worth it considering the facility closest to me isn’t helpful.
