In Arizona, abortion is legal up until the point of viability, which is usually considered between 24-26 weeks. Mothers must attend mandatory in-person counseling with a 24 hour waiting period before deciding upon an abortion only permitted to be performed by a physician, and must receive an ultrasound. Mailing abortion pills is illegal. State Medicaid coverage is not granted except in limited circumstances. Parental consent is required for minors.
