William Trimble rated 4 9 months ago The person on the phone was very nice however being homeless and in need of rental assistance to down payment would have been nice but I needed a social security card and have an application mailed which is kind of hard to do I should have taken weeks and it doesn't really help out too much so I thank the lady who talked to me but I guess I'm just going to be headed out to a bridge or shelter unfortunately for the holidays |
Roberto Alphonse rated 1 2 years ago The Inspector General's office of HUD audited the Westmoreland County Housing Authority's program in 2016. The objective was to determine whether the authority managed the waiting list appropriately in accordance with the HUD program. The audit discovered that the authority did not always ensure that the waiting list was accurate or that it selected applicants from the waiting list appropriately. The unfair conditions existed because the authority failed to follow the policies and procedures established in its plan with HUD. As a result, applicants were not treated fairly and consistently by the authority. The majority who are not being treated fairly are the ones who made application for the South Greengate Commons. Those applicants are low income elderly residents or those who are disabled or handicapped. Many veterans are also being denied housing even though they meet the age and income requirements. Several applicants have appealed to the executive director but he refuses to address this inequality when questioned by the applicants.The county commissioners have been notified and are looking into this serious matter. It's my opinion that the current executive director and a new board of directors be removed and new ones appointed as soon as possible. The public needs to know how family members and loved one are being treated by the housing authority whenever they file an application for an apartment. This is the main purpose of my letter to the editor.

I had my six month appointment with my new PCP today. While reviewing my health history he asked me where I live. He then questioned when I moved into the building. He then proceeded to inform me that he has current and former patients who had breathing and other problems from the smoke of marijuana throughout the building. I informed him that I and others reported the problem to the housing authority but nothing was done about. I notified him that I contacted the commissioners and other agencies and he said numerous times that something must be done now based on the comments from his patients. I hope this additional insight provides the information needed to make changes in the Hempfield Towers and the housing authority administration. |
John Titor rated 1 2 years ago I honestly truly believe that these people and the property managers they work with have a bad opinion about low income earners searching for housing. A. How does it make any logical sense to move someone in need from 6 to 12. And B. Fix the information on your website please. Apparently Shaner has no 1 bedroom apartments. As in, they don’t exist through the housing authority.
Work full time. Save up. Don’t be lazy, and be the best you possible. If you have the time and patience to deal with these hacks, by all means, enjoy being your 2+ years on the waiting list. I’d rather get a full time job and get a place of my own without their assistance. |
Charles Linn rated 1 2 years ago This business is problem with inspection department for not one thing it's for pets are allowed for in cage!!!!! Funny nine letter word for passing, lot of letter paper, but was told that listed to be checked!!! Warning you moving in a county owned it building if you have any small pets are allowed it ?! Here's the new inspection is scheduled for June 19 and 20 now, and but it is on the report and pictures of the pets are allowed now!!! Now pass it is question current? If notice but if anything in writing that in any weekday!!
Are ready did pass now!!! Right now a mega lie on my place check out a negative items now and good idea for me to go to another place until after the notification!!!!!! Here's come to recheck the place on the July 22 and questions about it!!!!!!!
Do you want tenant to let Halloween person in the building but not they scheduled the appointment that answer is YES now on Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's a problem at the location now I location now here's an idea of how to correct it now and best thing to do is add a bright lights on everything and where the cameras are looking for people who are private type of business and different types schedule for at night now and wrong time day and person is still repeat it again now that let in the entry way and but driver entrance to the parking lot is tenants where are parked and go to the loop on this side of the building and park it!!!!!!
Warning please keep on the cameras on twenty four hours for in case problem on the people will come in the entry way for non reason for the place example not calling me or text and private visit!!!!
Wow wow wow the entry way to this building is not proper protection but women have a Halloween key to touch base with them get in now on Tuesday evening really really really right now!!!!! |
XDF FDS rated 1 3 years ago Corrupt Housing Authority, & Corrupt Inspection Dept , No Good Inspectors Work with Slumlords and No Good landlords to Screw Over Tenants On Inspections and Repairs. They make tenants do their own Repairs and they will turn Hud against you . I'm going to sue this housing Authority and this slum landlord for putting my health and property at risk with mold.
