Waypoint Services is actually one of the few organizations in the United States I have been blessed to be serviced by in 65 years of life that actually know what empowerment means, do not need to define it in their mission statements online, and yet fully implement an empowerment model when dealing with those they serve. If you want it, you can get it through working with Waypoint Services here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You must want it, and you must work for it, and they will do anything and everything they can to assist you on your journey. Their domestic violence and survivor services are absolutely astounding.

For years, I’ve tried to get assistance from this place, when I was homeless after my husband kicked me out of our home they told me to get back to me. I spent six months sleeping in my car and now I’m having a crisis at home and all I get told is somebody will reach out to me. It’s been 5 weeks And I call every single week and I get nothing

This place went above and beyond to help me. The one lady I think her name is Marcia, is a very nice lady. She helped me get my disability filed, she helped me get food, she gave me a gas card. I mean she is a blessing!! Thank you, waypoint!
