I lived in one of Urban Housing's communities for 3 years and loved it! It was a safe and calm environment. If any maintnance issues arise they would come quickly to fix it. I loved our time lived there! I first lived in a 1 bedroom and then on a 2 bedroom and both were excellent.

Your experience is what you make of it. I lived in one of their properties (26th and Clarksville Phase 2) for a year and a few months, and I never had any major issues. Anytime I needed maintenance they came right away. At first the parking was a little rough, but it got a lot better even though I may have had to walk a bit farther. If you pay your rent on time and follow the minimal rules they put in place, you too will have a pleasant experience. These are super affordable and kept up. Thank you UHS for the pleasant experience I had while living here.

I have been here a little over a week at one of the Lewis Street complexes. So far I cannot find anything to complain about. I usually look at reviews as well in order to determine if it is a place I want to live or shop. What got me is so many bad reviews, kind of like the news. When things are being reported just one way then I must wonder if many of the complaints are even true. I can assure you that my name is on many many review sites because I believe it is good to let others know how you feel. I can even sympathize with the gentleman who was offended by the drug screen. I was also drug screened which was fine but I was kind of offended considering I had already paid my deposit for electric services and had my money orders made out but at the same time I do understand it is important as well. I can honestly say I love my new apartment and my neighbors. It isn't a big complex like some of their properties are. Our gate works which is wonderful. Face it Nashville is #19 in murders in the U.S. and feeling safe means a lot to me. My apartment manager Maria was very professional. I emailed her and I received a response within an hour maybe even sooner. What people don't seem to understand is they deal with many properties, they are busy. The receptionist is dealing with many calls for information that can be found on their website (such as how to apply, maintenance issues, etc) so what some may seem as arrogant may just be a little frustration on hearing the same questions ALL day long. I understand that is part of her job but please note, I work as a receptionist too and there's a lot more to my job than just answering the phone. Everyone has good and bad days and stress is really high right now for everyone. But for every complaint I have found there has to be at least one good comment but not everyone writes a review. I encourage anyone who has had a good experience to write a review because they are just as important more so especially to businesses. Again, I am not hating on anyone who wrote a negative review. I have also learned to wait a few days after getting upset before I write a review. I have only been here for a week but I have also worked at their commercial property downstairs for 4 months, so I have been able to get to know who my neighbors would be as well as the neighborhood. Now, I can say some negative things about the neighborhood surrounding my apartment but I won't because UHS cannot control who lives or drives through that is the job of the police. I do want to send a thank you to Maria for such a quick response to my emails. So far so good.

Your experience depends on the apartments you are in. In the beginning, I was happy to have lived in such a nice apartment. A few months in and I started having issues. Management is not very supportive and the staff who live in my building don’t follow their own rules. There is construction everywhere and they are quick to tow residents who live here. Just had to pay 270 to get my car from a tow company after they towed my car the morning prior to me typing this. Was I parked illegally? No. However, it seems that I was in the way of construction workers. How was I to know I couldn’t park where I live? There are two many changes that residents just have to be on board with. It’s a cool temporary option for people in transition. It should not be long term. It won’t be for me. My Experience has not been all bad, but I do not feel comfortable in a space i pay to call home.
