The woman shelter is a good place cause they really do help out in any way with alot of information

I have a bunch of furniture ( couch and chair less then a year old) a new futon mattress, dishes, pots n pans, sheets, blankets, wall pictures etc.... if there is anyone starting over and need household items.

I hate it here. We as clients have to work around staff. Our wifi has been taken out so many times, it’s hard to get any school work done. We were given permission to have personal electronics and wifi, but recently they have taken away anything we have ever worked for living here. I’m sick and tired of the same thing every day. They expect us to have no contact with anybody from the outside. It’s heartbreaking because we are just teenagers and contact with friends and family is a big support system. But no, just like our like and our dignity our wifi is also gone. It’s unbelievable at this point. I wouldn’t wish anybody to live here. They don’t take us out for outings. They are slowing emotionally damaging our young minds. I as a citizen In Canada am wishing for a better life while I’m locked away from my old one. Yes I was ripped out of my home and brung here. I have a very serious gluten free allergy and I am not supported with the gluten free food that is being given to me. I have celiac disease and it’s a very serious allergy. I am hoping that we can make changes around here. To improve the lives of people who have already been taken from home.

I called this shelter today and they basically gave me numbers to call and told me they couldn't really help me. Are these shelters government funded? Cause if they are it seems they are a huge waste of money.
