The Harbor Home

I came to the Harbor Home a very broken woman whose life was completely out of control. I had been in and out of rehabs and psychiatric facilities, lost jobs, and really hurt those around me. I had nothing to offer society and I was not someone that could be counted on for much. The staff at the Harbor Home loved me back to life, put some food in my belly, gave me a warm bed to sleep in at night and gave me a lot of laughter! The most important and lasting thing they did, though, is point me to Jesus Christ. I will forever have a special place in my heart for The Harbor because it was the beginning of my straight path loving and following The Lord. I have been clean and sober for over seven years now and it’s because of the good work Christ began in me at the Harbor Home.

When I first got to harbor home there was so much love, grace, and Jesus. I didn't know what I was doing here except it was a recovery place for me to go. Well I was wrong, it's more than recovery, it's Jesus and it's healing from the root of the things that caused me to choose addiction as the only option of escape. Harbor home is the hands and feet of Jesus in every way. Today I am free from addictions, Whom the son sets free is free indeed! I stay plugged in to my word , prayer, and I share the love of Jesus with others. Not saying it's easy because it's not always easy, but Jesus does say he will walk through the tough times with us and we are never alone. All of the staff have walked through my journey with me and continue to do so, not because they have to but because they have the heart of Jesus and want to. I'm so thankful for Jesus lining up my path to go to the harbor home. If it wasn't for him leading me there where he could reach me, I would either be dead, or sitting in prison for the rest of my life. Thank you Jesus and thank you Harbor Home. I love you guys so much. Jesus family for life❤️❤️

My experience at the Harbor Home changed my life for ever. When I came there I was hopelessly addicted and completely broken. They gave me unconditional love, structure, and hope through a relationship with Jesus Christ. I was unable to function without substances. My thoughts were consumed with my next high. Now I have a family of my own and I have been clean and sober for 6 years! I am so grateful for the Harbor Home and I will cherish my time spent there because it truly transformed me.
