Very mediocre lactation consultants. Mine ghosted me on an appointment and didn’t have a working scale for our weighted feed. Have had a terrible time coordinating with their insurance department (no response to multiple attempts to reach out within a week) and bad coordination via text. Very difficult to reach an actual person, and a very ineffective and non-customized approach to working with clients who are (obviously) very pressed for time as parents of infants. Would not recommend.

The review is given on the front desk who is in charge of the breast milk. We ordered the breast milk. But I was not able to pick them up and texted that we will pick them up on Saturday. However, the center gave away some of the milk without confirming with me. We made the trip there but only got a portion of the milk which not enough for our baby. Sad.

I just had my first appointment today. The specialist, Phoebe, was very knowledgeable, supportive, and very patient. We had a couple of victories which she celebrated with me. I would certainly refer any new mom to learn from these experienced professionals.

The Breastfeeding Center has been such an amazing resource! Their classes target the information that I needed as a new mom to learn how to take care of my baby and myself. They have supportive and knowledgeable staff and most classes and consultations are covered by my insurance. I'm so glad I learned about this place from the Birth Center!

Rating based on my experience with the at-home lactation consultant Maureen as well as a virtual bra fitting experience with Gina. During a global pandemic, COVID protocols and precautions have been of the utmost importance to our family, given our newborn doesn't have a fully developed immune system yet. The Breastfeeding Center holds themselves and the families that they work with to incredibly high standards to protect everyone -- especially the babies and their flexible approach with in-home and virtual is helpful not only given the pandemic, but for any mom who isn't exactly up for leaving the comforts of home soon after birth. Specifically, Maureen is exceptional. She not only knows her stuff when it comes to lactation consulting -- breastfeeding, latching, pumping. clogged ducts, etc. -- but she makes me feel so positive about a not always positive/uplifting experience, as the newborn days are just really tough! Her follow-up notes and instructions are clear, detailed and informative. She is incredibly accessible and communicative. Moreover, she is generous with her time and truly cares about her moms and babies! I'm so grateful to have found Maureen and the Breastfeeding Center. Cannot more highly recommend her and this tremendous resource!
