I am writing this with an alternate account to protect my identity (my name is not Jack or Pilate) but if someone from your Center could respond to me or try to get in contact, I would be happy to try and find a way to speak again. In 2022, I was told about Tahirih Justice as a victim of domestic violence. Particularly, I was experiencing emotional, physical, and financial abuse due to my dependent status by my status holder. I called them on three different occasions and they never answered. As a result, I ended up giving up on the whole thing until exactly around a year later in 2023. I once again had to call them on two different occasions and leave detailed messages (with another instance of sexual harassment, in which I actually took the offender to court) until they called me back to tell me that they can't help me. They didn't give me a reason. They then gave me the numbers for other immigration-related organisations which I could find myself with a quick google search. All of those organizations were "at capacity" and referred me to each other in a loop, so I never got any help. Just today, December 7th of 2023, I found out that they took the case of my abuser, who is also a potential victim of trafficking. I believe she was connected through DVRP. Hearing this, I honestly felt incredibly hurt and disappointed by this center. If there was something wrong with the case I was making, I would have liked to know, at least so that I could stop looking for help. This honestly just feels incredibly unfair, especially since my abuser is getting the help that I worked so hard to find, calling over and over again, and never received. I don't know who else to talk to so I am leaving it here. I don't want to jeopardize my abuser's immigration but I wish I knew why I received such indifference from your organization while you guys accept and defend abusers with open arms.

I am very grateful to our Father God and the team of lawyers who made it possible for my children, who arrived in 2014, to become residents. The process was possible and very quick; in a year and a half we had good news.
