Come to find out its SHELBY COUNTY that's picking the phone up and hanging up before they say hello ! If y'all didn't want to work and pick the phone up why did y'all put in an application!? I don't get it! If you don't want to work for the foostamp office then go find another job, it's just that simple!

I’m still not sure if this was a scam but someone called me named James who claimed to be calling me for an interview. Which I was unaware of the over the phone interview for I have been talking with my case worker Kathy and have an appointment in a few days in person so why is this person calling asking me for personal information refusing to answer any of my questions about it being a scam he also claimed to be working for Shelby county which I do not live in nor have I applied for I have called so many people trying to find out if this guy is even legit but I can’t get anyone to answer form human services. They warn you not to give your social and personal information out to strangers but then call and demand personal information I requested to speak with his supervisor then he hung up on me

If I can post a picture of how long I was on this phone I would... I'm currently still on the phone and been on for 2 hrs and 30 minutes. I speak to an older women sounds like she's in her 70s and transfer me to another case worker and no one have yet to pick the phone up! Y'all need to hire some more people nA DAWG.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Now that so many things are done online cases are disbursed throughout the state. I applied 5/22 when I lost my job. As a mother of 3 kids I expected this to go quickly. Didn’t hear a word and had to call just to wait an hour and a half for someone to schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment I didn’t receive a call yet received a letter stating I missed my appointment. Come to find out my caseworker was in freaking vacation! Like what?! I’ve been going to my local office where they are having to contact these people for me constantly. My local office did the interview for me. Today 6/20, TWO days before my 30 days a worker from Shelby county calls me to do the interview which has already been done. When I asked about when I could expect my benefits she could give me an answer and was rude! I seriously do not understand this place at all!!!

My phone interview was May 23, 2023 @9:30 Ashton Woods did not call me until 10:34. She requested verification of my lease, utility bill and proof of income. I went online to One dhs .com and provided this information by 2:30 pm. Well long story short on Thursday Jine 1,I called at 9:00 am and a work told me she was sending my case to be processed hear it is June 6 and my case has not been processed. Yesterday their system was down so they could not give me any information.. it's a shame that you have to wait on the phone for an hour and a half before you speak to some then your put on hold for an additional 30 minutes before speaking with a caes worker then your greeted with an attitude an sarcasm with no positive or productive outcome
