Campbell lodge is ran much more like a rehab than a shelter. This is not really a place for homeless women who are not addicts with children but a place for people who need help with substance abuse and became homeless as a result. Rules are very aimed towards rehabilitation from drugs and alcohol. If you need help with substance abuse they may be the right fit but not if just homeless due to other reasons or financial strain. Rules involve also doing bibly studies even if you are not of the same faith. Rules also involve chores whether you are physically disabled or not. Rules about when you eat when you sleep when you leave what hall ways to walk down and not walk down. It is ran like a jail I felt imprisoned before even staying 1 night and once reading their handbook after my intake I left.

Management has no empathy for people that really need help they lie and gossip running the cameras to find any excuse to kick anyone out. Staff are not welcoming or friendly very rude and likes to lie about not having hot plates even though they do, don't make me name names. Making life more difficult and uncomfortable for the homeless that need help but instead look down on them knowing at some point staff was once in their shoes so be humble and make others lives a bit easier by helping a smile won't hurt or acknowledge people like they're still humans just going through different situations.

My friend became homeless after a suicide attempt and ended up at this establishment. She was doing good and looking for a job when all of a sudden all the women were made to do a pee test. They told her and 3 other women that they had to get out by 8:00 a.m. the next day! She asked and asked what happened or what showed up that she failed. She does not do drugs nor does she drink alcohol!! The only drugs she is on is mental health drugs. They refused to tell her what came back in her urine and stopped talking to her all together! BEWARE OF THIS SHELTER! If they want you gone they will lie about anything to get you out! She has never caused problems and did not deserve this! Shame on you all! God saw what you just did and you may not feel you are accountable to her but you will be to God!! If you donate to this shelter you might want to find a better place to invest your money and tithes!
