My Daughter was 4, she is now 26. She n I were blessed to stay at Sheaperds Gate leaving a very abusive environment, we were lost and so Scared when we arrived. It took no time for the staff the other woman. and to wrap there arms around us. We learned so much about God n his love when we were there. We felt peace for the first time in so many years, My daughter also learned to ride a bike there, and still says she had her best surprise Birthday party ever at Shepards Gate, and in the 20 plus years I've thrown her some GREAT partys.....Still cannot thank the person who volunteered set up wrapped gifts n ordered her cake, she always did b-day partys for the kids all those years ago. My faith had been tested and almost lost, Shepards Gate gave me Gods Love back , I knew I was not ever going to be alone, no matter what life sent my way. It's been tough. But I can honestly say Neither my beautiful daughter Destiny or I ever needed or wanted a thing durring all those years. God always provides what we need. I know, I've lived it. Every wensday morning they would let us "Go Shopping" we were taken to the cellar to choose clothes, shoes, new underclothes, and any toiletries we needed from donations they had recieved from the comunity. Thank u to all those who donate to Shepards Gate. Alot of women n children arrive at Shepards Gate with nothing but the clothes on there back, my daughter n I were among the thousands of woman who arrive there with Nothing. Thank You Shepards Gate you are truly doing Gods work everyday spreading his love to SO MANY!! SO PLEASE, PLEASE, IF U ARE ABLE DONATE TO SHEPARDS GATE YOUR THINGS GO TO WOMAN N CHILDREN WHO REALLY NEED THEM.
