The morning classes were informative. Unfortunately they kicked me out exactly at my 30 days and did not offer an extension, told my DSS worker I wasn't attending the classes and wasn't looking for housing or jobs. Funny because I have all the papers from every class, and had 3 job offers and was working 2 jobs when I got kicked to the curb with my bags and was homeless on the street for 2 weeks after that. They did not do an exit plan and they couldn't have cared less about me. They get federal funding but I think something fishy is going on there .. definitely would recommend somewhere else if possible, try safe harbor or other options because this shelter treats people like trash.

The operator had a attitude and hung up on me while talking about my situation very rude didn’t pick up the phone again

Lenoir Women's shelter is a fantastic place. They help you get back on your feet and get going forward again. They also provide you with the proper resources to continue healing. The advocates are some of the greatest women I've ever known. I truly love each of them. I'll never be able to thank them enough for what they done for me.
