I've had family stay at the Samaritan and this is where I choose to donate and only donate to. My family stood in the family floor and heard they had a real chef on the floor. They really helped them and for that I am greatful.

The Catholic church is one of the richest organizations in the world. They don't pay taxes. They also don't return calls. Idk but I don't think God has operating hours. This seems much more like a business or corporation than a church.

I rather stay in a motel than this place. The rooms are claustrophobic, for even a family of three or four. Shared bathrooms, that are not very sanitary people. Just wasting your tax dollars away. Screaming kids running up and down hallway why staff ignore, although they suggest you stay with your kids at all times. Housing is very slow, they try but if Anerica can spend billions of dollars on military, they should be able to provide every American a manufactured home with solar problems. Organization really cause more problems for homeless people, than getting down to the root.

!!!warning!!! for transgender folx, It won't let me review the actual location I am talking about, however it's run by the same people so would not be surprised if both locations have the same problems. During my recent stay at the Samaritan House women's homeless shelter It was a profoundly uncomfortable experience. After having been in a crisis unit for 5 days and being unable to shave I came in looking a little scraggly, I drew a lot of stares and evidently some complaints because I used the urinals in the bathroom. There is no stall doors mind you, only curtains for about half the stalls, and it was far more comfortable for us to stand and urinate quickly then sit with an open door. A member of the staff approached me and told me that it made the "ladies" here uncomfortable, to me this created a clear separation between myself and the other women as they were the ladies and I was the not lady. This was followed up by other unfounded accusations in what I would consider a harassing form. I kindly took this to staff, the very staff that made the comment to privately note to them why this was inappropriate. They raised their voice above mine insisting they were right, refusing to even hear what I had to say. Not entirely sure it was connected another trans woman left the office right before me crying and clearly frustrated. I get that it's a Catholic organization but stop allowing / encouraging bigotry!
