First thing is that you need to change your information about the shelter on there website. Because, on there website says it is a year around emergency shelter. I called this morning about the shelter. First thing the woman thought I was a man. I told her I was a woman. I have been a woman since the day I was born. Another thing on your website that you provide emergency shelter. When I called the woman I spoke too said it was a women's and children shelter. She did not say that single female could not stay there. The lady I talk too over the phone this morning said I would need to talk too the manager about staying at the shelter. I ask her about the cooling shelter being open today from 12 noon to 5pm. She yes it was going to be open. Since we are under a heat advisor. Well, I spent $30 on lyft ride from Mckinney, Texas to be able to get into a shelter and out of the heat. Well, when I got to shelter a man open the door and was very rude too me. I told him I talk to a woman on the phone this morning. What a joke. He told me that it was just for women with children. I said something about that the cooling center was post to be open from 12 noon to 5pm. He said that the cooling center was not going to be open. We are under a heat advisor. Than he said well I could sit on the bents outside until the cooling center is going to open. Well, the bents are right in the sun. WHAT A JOKE! What is wrong with these homeless shelter? I am a human being. One of the things that is wrong is these FAITH BASED SHELTERS.They are ran by the DEVIL HIMSELF. No compassion. I would stay far away from this SHELTER.
