I go here for mental health services. I go weekly for a therapy session and every so many months for my medications. I'm consistent in coming, I work really hard on my own mental health to become the best version of myself.
I've been very blessed with the therapists that I've seen here. The people I've been with genuinely care about their clients and want to make an impact. Here's the problem, there's high turnover. As someone that deals with PTSD and anxiety, you start to build a rapport with your therapist and build trust with them, you're telling them about the most intimate parts of your life, only to find out they are going into private practice a few months later and have to regurgitate all of this information over again to someone else
You're in an industry where you're supposed to help people feel better, heal, and make a positive change. When this constant change of therapists keeps happening, it doesn't help you build trust again, it makes it worse. If you genuinely care about the people who are impacted by the constant change of therapists, you'll find a way to keep them there. Change needs to happen, it's not fair for people who not only want to help us clients, but the clients whom are getting served.
This isn't just an SPHS issue, it's community clinics in general and something needs to change. I've been through now three therapists over the course of the past year, and the constant changeover is making me not want to go back, but because of insurance, it's one of the very few options I currently have.
Everyone I've worked with directly has been very kind and helpful and has helped me heal tremendously, even the front desk staff is super kind...but the high turnover rate is making me not want to go anymore.

Ive suffered a brain injury and I cant say enough for the secretaries, therapists, and doctors. Ive seen a few negative comments on here concerning the Care Center, but that has not been my experience at all. They have shown me nothing but love and concern and Im thankful for every staff member. Id name them by name but I wont violate their privacy. I will close by saying that Im a very diffucult patient so all of them are next to saints to deal with me.

I’ve been trying to get an appointment there for their conflict resolutions sessions for child custody and they are messing around with making an appointment for me. I have to be there by court order and because they have not wanting to schedule me I have not seen my daughter in 12 years. I’ve been fighting with these people to get me scheduled for 13 years now and they keep blowing me off and because of that my daughter was taken from me .
