My homeless mental I'll sister has been kicked out to the street with no intervention from this SHELTER! Clearly they are incapable or interested in accommodating the disabled. Shame on you you are contributing to the homeless population. Next fundraising effort should show statistics! Loved serving food, everyone was so nice.

I've been fortunate enough not to stay at the mission but the things I've heard are terrifying I've heard when donations are given the staff goes through it first and then the homeless gets what's left and when the men get food donated to them it goes to the women if the rumors and testimony of the ppl who have experienced these things why are we turning a blind eye the ppl running the program should treat those ppl they are supposed to help like humans and not tokens to get funds humans

Its sad that I called to try to get a bed so I don't have to sleep outside again tonight an get told I can't get a bed over the weekend..quess people only become homeless durning the week ..it just shows that Rockford just don't care an no one at the mission actually cares either I have a job but don't get paid till next Friday ..quess I'm sleeping were ever I can find a place

Came across a man who is hard of hearing and would like to let everyone know about how POORLY he was treated. Bed he was sleeping on was peed on by someone who is clearly very disrespectful. When he wrote on a paper about his experience he also mentioned staff was rude and belittled him. I was in Walgreens when he came up to me asking for help. He has gone through so much in such a short amount of time and for him to be treated so poorly at a place that is meant to “help” people is sad. My heart hurt for him. Especially when he wrote that he no longer felt safe or comfortable there. He LEFT because of how poorly he was treated and wrote that he preferred sleeping in the cold, get frostbite and sick then staying here. It is RIDICULOUS that he was treated so poorly here. I’d rate this place 0 stars if I could!! DO BETTER.
