I would like to take this time and say God bless all of you in the outreach program, you were there when I really needed it, I needed shelter, I needed food and you was there. Thank you God for these people and may the blessings continue flowing for all in need. I only have one complaint I wish I was able to enter the shelter earlier than 9pm, I am a Veteran and I have meds I need to take, and some of them need to be in a fridge and please make water more available thanks for your patience and support it really matters to me.

I am heartbroken. I donated many bins of clothes and accidentally donated one container of my kids sports shirts from their childhood and other very sentimental items that were to be made into a quilt. I donated on a Monday and realized my error Wednesday evening and called Thursday morning to see if I could retrieve that bin. The lady there said she would try to locate them and call back on Monday (acted like she didn’t care). Monday! They could be lost forever by then! So I called back Monday only to be told they were in a 3 hour meeting…. So I drove back up there. The lady saw me and motioned for one guy to open the shipping container out back. There were no crates that I had donated. Then she informs me that the volunteers came on SATURDAY/SUNDAY and sorted and distributed everything! Why didn’t she just allow me to come the Thursday before? I knew what the crate looked like. She seemed bothered that I even called. All this could’ve been avoided if she would’ve just said “sure, come take a look” on Thursday BEFORE volunteers came! I don’t understand the heartless “I don’t care” mentality of people. She knew I was desperate. Lesson learned: go through everything twice before you donate.
