They do not follow Indiana's mandatory reporting laws and will take sides and discriminate against husband or wife. Do not trust them. I have yet to be given a "safe plan", advocacy in court and mediation, family support, housing, employment, food, transportation, budget planning, court support, group support, share my story. They need sued and shut down. A plan has to be "safe" to be considered a "Safe Plan". Universal Citation: IN Code § 25-23.6-6-1 (2021) Sec. 1. Matters communicated to a counselor in the counselor’s official capacity by a client are privileged information and may not be disclosed by the counselor to any person, except under the following circumstances: (1) In a criminal proceeding involving a homicide if the disclosure relates directly to the fact or immediate circumstances of the homicide. (2) If the communication reveals the contemplation or commission of a crime or a serious harmful act. (3) If: (A) the client is an unemancipated minor or an adult adjudicated to be incompetent; and (B) the information communicated to the counselor indicates the client was the victim of abuse or a crime. (4) In a proceeding to determine mental competency, or a proceeding in which a defense of mental incompetency is raised. (5) In a civil or criminal malpractice action against the counselor. (6) If the counselor has the express consent of: (A) the client; or (B) in the case of a client's death or disability, the express consent of the client's legal representative. (7) To a physician if the physician is licensed under IC 25-22.5 and has established a physician-patient relationship with the client. (8) Circumstances under which privileged communication is abrogated under Indiana law. Save yourself money, start recording you can for evidence before your partner does, and get an attorney.

A great pit stop during a crisis or flee plan, including financial assistance resources for starting over or supportive action steps via crisis line. However, this is not a safe place for ongoing or long-term support, if you are BIPOC, disabled, or LGBTQ+.

Prevail and the advocates were a life saver, not only did they provide the emotional support we so desperately needed but they also helped us navigate through the justice system. I could never express enough how amazing they were. They walked with us during our darkest times. Forever grateful!

I have been so blessed with being able to understand more of what my daughter is going thru. I learned to speak love to her no matter her choice at the moment out of fear. My heart breaks, but Prevail has been there for me. Thank you!

Prevail has helped many, many women and families that I know personally over the past 5+ years. The staff is incredible and they have the knowledge and heart for serving others in need. I have been blessed to volunteer at the office as well. Highly recommend them to anyone who can use their services. Learn more about them because as I learned, even if you do not need their services you probably know or will meet someone who does need them!
