Arlyn Santiago rated 2 2 months ago The counselors are great! However, the staff is extremely rude. I have been trying to book an appointment for the past two weeks, but whenever I get in touch with an Intake Coordinator named Janice she is never available to take a call, or proceeds to pass my call on to others. I understand that people are busy but common sense would tell you to leave a voicemail stating your availability for someone to call you. I am a full-time college student, and so it is very frustrating to have to take time from classes, work, or studying to call someone for two weeks straight, just to book an appointment.
I feel like I have to beg in order to be able to book an appointment. In addition, there is no efficient way to make payments because this institute will not call you to make you aware of any outstanding balances. When you do make the time to call, the receptionist will put you in contact with an older women who told me to, "either turn off the TV, get up and walk somewhere else, or speak up." I love Dr. Kim King, however, my frustrations with the staff have left me very disappointed, and I planning on looking for other places in Columbus. |
Taylor Bruhn rated 2 4 months ago The counselors I have seen are great, however the cost for missed appointments and the rules around it are ridiculous. While I understand the reasoning for these fees, there are no exceptions for emergencies. As a result I had to bring my sick daughter to my appointment or risk paying an expensive missed appointment fee for not calling 24 hrs in advance. How is a person suppose to know a day ahead that their child will be sick? On top of this, how can anyone get adequate counseling if they have to bring their child? Tele-counseling would have been a great compromise but wasn't offered.
I missed one appointment previously, it was my fault so I obviously had no problem paying the fee but then I was told it would be months before the doctor I had been seeing would be able to schedule me again. Let me note, it took months to get in to see someone in the first place. They also said she would reach out in attempts to squeeze me in and I received no call. In addition to this, they no longer take Medicare or people who want to pay out of pocket.
I wish they would consider altering their policies to be more considerate of patient needs.
Clearly, they put profit above the needs of the patients, which is sad considering they are known for being a "Christian" institute. Definitely not a place for anyone who is in need of immediate and/or long term help or for anyone who is in more needy populations, such as low income, homeless, etc. |
MaryAnne Earles rated 1 a year ago It took me from 11/292021 to 1/17/2022 to get an appointmentI do understand the busy time during the holidays. The physician called me 2 days prior to schedule the appointment himself, stating the appointment would last about 55 minutes.Upon arrival the ereceptionist said I wasn't on the schedule! She called the thearpist and he came out and took me to his office, never introducing himself. He told the receptionist to tell the next patient that he was running late.My appointment lasted 20 minutes, half of that time explaining privacy laws!!.VERY dissappointed to say the least.Do not recommend this place at all! |
dana kennedy rated 2 2 years ago I need therapy badly and my insurance doesn't cover it. So my church was paying. Went 2 or 3 times and the therapist quit returning our calls...multiple calls. We called once a week for a couple of weeks. I'm a bit upset that I asked my church and they wasted their funds. |
Jody Hill rated 5 5 years ago I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this facility. Everyone is friendly and inviting. I have been a patient here for almost 2 years and look forward to every appointment. They did a wonderful job pairing me with a great therapist. They work around my schedule and have also fit me in for unscheduled appointments. I always leave breathing a little easier and feeling a little lighter. Thank you so much for all the work you do for your patients! |
