Received a letter from Coos County employee, Daniela Kellum, stating that omissions errors existed in favor of the opposing party whose income, in fact, exceeded $20,000 per month. Several years and a couple of lawsuits later, a malpractice attorney has informed me that the AG in the "Recovery Unit" in Douglas County (never resided here, the case has never been heard nor was it moved here) did not write the Money Award (awarded by a compassionate administrative Judge, the Honorable Elizabeth Jarry, and subsequently upheld at the de novo level in Circuit Court) according to definition. Nor was it written according to the applicable and outlined Oregon Statutes. The Grievance Office retaliated by holding the case in Douglas County (again, no party to the case has ever resided there; this is a county where the D.A. does not have oversight duties). Child Support Division has been limiting and restricting both my and our son's access to services in multiple ways/formats. Opposing party is a VIP at the DOD; we all pay him by paying our taxes. He has full access to services. Ms. Cooper Richardson has declined our requests to speak by telephone to resolve her agency's errors. AG Justin Kidd is asking over $1,100 "for redactions" in my related small claims case in which he filed a motion for a jury trial despite stating, "You failed to make a claim." Why the need for a jury trial then? Our family's requests to inspect the public record have all been denied. Interesting, yes? Troubling? Yes. Very much so. Your tax dollars, Oregonians, have been wasted on retaliatory and dilatory maneuvering. Someone should have simply called me to let me know they would fix their errors. That's what I asked to have happen. Years have passed and still, errors persist. Such poor leadership! Along the way several staff members lied, one tried to help and was "retrained" after, and one person perjured herself (not Ms. Kellum). All to protect precious jobs (think PERS here- another Oregon system in dire need of reform). We've since met other families in whose cases even larger errors were made, significant discrepancies exist, and similar stories of retaliation and non payment were shared. Change is desperately needed here. For Oregon families and taxpayers. Thanks for reading and take excellent care of each other. 💗

I feel for all the women posting in here about not getting their payments. I am an ex husband, making my payments on time, yet somehow this organization cant seem to figure out how to get the money to the moms. Everytime I call to get something sorted out I get the run around. My ex wife submitted an adjustment to my arrears because I was making payments while we were waiting for the divorce to go through. They just never bothered filing it, but let my arrears rack up. If I dont perform at my job, we get fired. Period. Child support employees continuously fail at doing their job. And that's just MY experience. I cant imagine how many moms and dads have to deal with this. And to think they charge me a monthly fee for them processing my payments.

DCS regularly makes errors getting money to me (that has been paid, and on time) and always immediately transfers me to the county family court, who tells me every time that they don’t deal with that end of it, or smugly tells me it must be my bank that’s the problem and that I should be glad I’m getting ANY money at all. Apparently no one at the child support office thinks it’s their job to make sure child support gets to the person who is supposed to receive it. Wait times are insane (put your phone on speaker and find a comfortable chair!) and when they finally do answer won’t offer any help. Good luck.

I had two nice phone conversations with very helpful people. But I also had mailed in some time-sensitive paperwork which never reached its destination, even though I got back a certified return receipt, signed from a person who I confirmed worked there. Not sure where it ended up...but otherwise I thought the staff were friendly, understanding, and interested in helping with my issue. Thanks!

My ex is in arrears to me $20000 for child support and they won't do anything because i'm a man and she's a woman. They suspended her DL, oh whoop de doo. If the shoe was on the other foot I'd be in jail.
