It's VERY sad that this church has gotten weird during Christmas. This was the lamest service we've been to on Christmas in 20 years. They didn't decorate at all...I understand they want to make Christmas about Jesus BUT no decorations at all combined with hot weather doesn't make it feel like Christmas. This is VERY depressing along with Christians standing behind that orange demon they elected as president 😢

I still love NLC! A truly authentic spiritual community who loves Jesus even though difficult seasons! A community with a heart to serve each other, the community, and the world. A church with a very genuine passion to seek, worship, and dwell in the Presence of God. A fervently praying church where I have found strength, encouragement and comfort. I have been at NLC for nearly 20 years and my experience has been transformational! Come and seek for yourself!

I love the worship here. I know a lot of people say it feels more like a concert vibe but there's nothing I love more then mixing worship and rocking out for Jesus. It's an incredibly form of worship and It's one of my favorite things here. If your looking for groups to get involved in they have a great list of groups they offer here for young adults, couples, parenting etc. but a huge piece for me is that when I asked for prayer three times I was overlooked and brushed off. I guess if your looking for prayer warriors to partner with you and pray you gotta get on a list or something or wait for the next available pastor or representative to pray with you. It's not a normal supportive approach youd expect from a church your trying to become part of the family with. Your just an outsider they want to pat on the back, thank for coming and shove out the door with the rest. If I was a bypasser who wanted a one time great church experience this would be the church I'd visit. But if I was a stranger looking for a home to grow in the Lord and partner with church family with, this wouldn't be the one for me. Nothing negative to say here. Just an honest opinion from a few several experiences I have had recently.
