This is absurd: am I in the Handmaids Tale? I’m a single mom with barely any options just trying to access the whopping $88 I am allegedly entitled to after getting fired from my job after domestic abuse. I’ve been trying to play by the rules and file all my unemployment since 11/7. I’ve gotten a total of four claims since then - $352 before taxes in four months. I jumped through every hoop they threw at me but there were always more including the fact that I “didn’t register” on their job match system which I tried to do but encountered an internal error (shocking). So when then faced with a TRIBUNAL HEARING over my fictitious $88 (I wish I had the time these people do to make up tribunals and long winded emails and imaginary bureaucratic hoops to actively block other people’s survival), Elizabeth Miller - perfect handmaids tale name- alleged that not only was I in the wrong for not being a “reasonably prudent person” but that they had in fact OVERPAID me. Somehow. Somehow the $352 to a single mom over four months was actually too much to allot. What absurdity. I can’t wait to get into politics and help burn all this down.

All they do is tell you sign up on a computer and never have ever helped me ever get a job or with career training or even to get the unemployment I've been owed for the past three years. I don't understand why anyone who works here is paid anything.

You basically have to do their jobs for them. They make so many mistakes. Hand-holding is necessary to get anything accomplished. How these people and this antiquated system are still considered "viable" in 2025 makes me think I'm living in an alternate timeline.
