Who We Are
Mending Hearts was founded by Katrina Frierson in 2004. Katrina overcame her own personal struggles with addiction and homelessness and realized the need for an inclusive recovery program to serve women with similar circumstances.

I was admitted into mending hearts in June of 2010 after an overdose that almost took my life I stayed there for less than 21 days they were about to release me when I told them I was not ready to go home so they got me into another facility in Lebanon Tennessee I graduated from there and I have been clean and sober 12 years June of 2022 thank you mending hearts for giving me my first shot at recovery it was the last rehab that I knew I was going to attend in my lifetime because I was ready to live a clean and sober life

I have been try8ing to reach and speak with someone get information about the program and get someone in treatment but has been unsuccessful each time. It would be great if you could speak with staff there or return the calls.

my mission : to do whatever it took to get my little girl back. I hated the" smoking schedule" that was put into effect right before I arrived . and let me just say ..... "THAT HILL." OMG walking up that mother fu$-&$# 20 times a day. Are both trivial, minor details to the bigger picture. Those women leading the way are the best kind in my mind. They had been right where I was and did the trivial /minor details, whatever they may have been to them. they did it and leveled up time after time until their mission was a success. Everytime a staff member was unpleasant towards me was because I was in the wrong.noone likes being told what to do but when you yourself ends up with a unmanageable life..... you got to let someone else take over just for a bit to get you back in the driver's eat. I love mending hearts. and I think about my experience there often. I did a lot of growing and accepting. this place is one of the good guys. real talk.
