Friendly staff and great deals like the clothing fill a bag sales. I find some great items. I do wish they were open later for those of us who work late. For those giving one star reviews about the prices, really? MM is waaaay cheaper than other places. Go to Goodwill where they are over priced and greedy. I'll def be back. 😀

The prices of stuff in the store are getting to be ridiculous and the staff can be rude.

So in general I really do like this place as a thrift store and as a pantry. The only issue I have with maywood mission is the fact that one day I was sitting out in my car waiting on a friend to get done shopping. It was about time to start closing up shop when I saw the grey haired lady and the young man come outside and start sorting through items that were outside on tables for sale. My window was rolled down so I started hearing the 2 employee's talking. What I heard was absolutely appalling! They were talking to each other about what they thought of people that shopped there and dug in there dumpsters after hours and how they were basically low life's and scum of the earth like they were better than them! Then they went to the back door and got a big portable dumpster can thing on wheels and rolled it over to the tables and started sorting the items and making there own personal decisions on what they were wanting to keep and wanting to throw away! These items were in perfectly working conditions, clean, and in very good shape! I then sat in my car and watched the 2 employee's start slamming all kinds of nick nacks, georgous pictures, lamps, furniture and other miscellaneous items into the portable dumpster can so hard it would would make every single item purposely break! I was shocked! I sat there for about a half hour and continued watching them smash items while recording with my phone until the huge can was overflowing with nothing but a heaping pile of once very nice items now all shattered and damaged! It turned my stomach hearing them talking and watching them purposely smashing each individual item one right after the other! And wait, there's more!!! Once they picked and choosed each item over, they both then walked the heaping pile of now trash back to the dumpster then started pitching it all in the dumpster! After everything was thrown into the dumpster, the young man with dark hair then pulled out a ratchet strap from either his pocket or the bottom of the huge can on wheels and started swinging it full force into the dumpster to break everything in the dumpster even more than what they have already broken. My heart then sank to the floor and I honestly got sick to my stomach! You two employees ought to be ashamed of yourselves! You are no better than anyone of us! We are all human and we all bleed red! How dare you two snarel your noses up at anyone ! If you were any better than us then you would have a better job then at maywood mission don't you think! And to maywood mission, Why are you letting your employees do such things to people's belongings that they personally took the time and gas to go donate so that someone else in need could use it in there home and household!?!? I get it that you can't keep everything people donate all the time or you have to have a warehouse for storing store goods but there has to be a better solution then completely destroying items that were just good enough to sell in your store 5 minutes ago. Because of what I have witnessed your employees doing and saying I will NEVER donate 1 single item to your store ever again! I will also be letting anyone and everyone I possibly can know what I have witnessed at your store this day and even be showing the video as well! ... Sad thing is, once my friend was done shopping and spent over $100 at your store and got back to the car I told her what I had witnessed and even showed her the video and she proceeded to tell me that the lady at the register had just got done telling the 2 employee's to NOT be smashing and destroying items that they were going to be discarding!!!! WOW 😲😳!!! Just, ..... WOW 😳😳😳😳 As always, be blessed and always remember to stay humble and kind for none of us are promised tomorrow!
