About This Service

Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas is a nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal services to low income residents in 114 Texas counties throughout North and West Texas, with offices in Abilene, Amarillo, Brownwood, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Lubbock, McKinney, Midland, Odessa, Plainview, San Angelo, Waxahachie, Weatherford and Wichita Falls.

I called and the operator said they do not handle the subject that the website stated they handle specifically under “urgent matters” and then acted bewildered because I called an attorney’s office. No offense but she sounded to be advanced in years and therefore, not able to recall the information put out there by the place she works for.

I filled the intake form weeks before my mom's eviction hearing yet when they called her, they said that they are unable to attend the eviction hearing with her. It's disheartening since we really wanted her to have legal assistance at the trial.

I called to ask a question I was given a person that acted like they didn't care, They finally sent me a letter that was not sealed up anybody could read it and they did, That's not away to do good business. My rights was violated and I was viciously threaten.
