The “attorneys” here just print off papers and read them in court. They do now follow the law, they follow how THEY interpret the law. They dangle numbers in front of low income families about how much they could “possibly” could get but it never happens. Go elsewhere. These “lawyers” at Legal Aid are a scam. Be warned.

I got excellent legal advice from legal aid NC. They were friendly and helpful but their hold music is terrible! It is a great resource. If you have any legal questions these are the people to go to. Highly recommended!
