I visited LSCC today for the first time, and plan to return next week. I really liked the worship, the message, and the call to reach out to others and share the beauty of Jesus. I knew no one there, and was kind of surprised that no one introduced themselves to me. The contact I had was on my own initiative introducing myself to a few people and telling them I was new there. Kind of wished it was the other way round, but in retrospect, it was nice not to have some overly-friendly, fake type of person doting over how giddily happy they were that I was worshiping with them today (sadly-other churches have done this, and I felt it not very genuine). I'm not above introducing myself and saying I'm new😊. Hope I can meet more people next week and learn more about this wonderful group of believers.

Jim and I started attending LSCC about 9 years ago. Right off the bat we were impressed with the depth of teaching from the lead pastor. Our new lead pastor continues that tradition with wisdom and wit. Nurturing, fun programs are available for kids, youth, and all adult ages. The youth have a safe place to have fun, make friendships, and grow in their faith in Jesus. Small groups provide adults a more intimate setting for strength and encouragement to walk the talk. Prayer is available for anyone. LSCC generously opens its facility to “outside” groups like Men’s Bible Study Fellowship, Young Life, and an ESL program. Missionary sending and support is an inspiring part of LSCC’s purpose. Our former lead pastor is still with us, but gets to focus on his missions passion. We are not perfect – “Jesus isn’t finished with us yet,” but we love the Lord and each other, and work out struggles together. Worship is fervent, and everyone is welcome to come worship with us.

Many people are looking for real friendships that brings good to their lives. Many are searching for genuine faith, a real relationship with God, that can be a sure solid foundation for life and eternal life. They are seeking communities of faith where they can learn about good strong character for themselves, their families, and their work places, that's based on the teachings from the Bible. They want the opportunity to serve and support the needs of people in their local communiities to make a real difference. They want a place where they will be accepted, appreciated, welcomed, and not judged. Lees Summit Community Church is a place I recommend where you will find all of this.
