I can’t for the love me ever get my case worker to respond. I have called and emailed numerous times past 3 weeks on trying to switch providers and no response. Other staff is great at responding to me, but my case worker never responds and I have even called her to speed up my case as I have done legit everything I can think of on my end.
Update to this review: all the sudden funds are out and when I went to reapply, I am told there’s waitlist due to funding all the sudden. I am working mom and going to end up losing my job cause of this madness. I was already in the system so I don’t get why I can’t get into the program. I can’t afford to pay OPP and my job is tripping over my son and the stress this has caused me due to having to take care of my son and work has been nightmare. This is the worst daycare assistance with help ever dealt with. What does it take for someone with low income working full time busting their butt off to get help? Feels like the working class always gets the crap end of the stick. We can’t get ahead seems. Due to all this, I’m at max capacity with my stress levels. Not to mention the ridiculous paperwork when you give paystubs- they still want more info that’s absolutely ridiculous and overwhelming for someone already tackling lot. What’s the point in this program if can’t be used to help us who work? The American system is broken and not for the working class, so it seems. To limit or cut funds for daycare help for those in need is just astonishing to me, paying full price for daycares, defeats purposely in working as it’s my whole paycheck so how am I to keep getting by as mom fours kid on small income.

Jeanette Morales Paraque needs to be investigated as to how she handles her AA clients. This is a needed resource for parents that can not afford daycare but need to work to make a living. Unfortunately, Jeanette had made it impossible to keep this benefit. She kicked my family member out of the program for being over the income range but she is actually under the income range.
This lady is unprofessional, unresponsive and very nasty to deal with. She needs to be investigated to see if she's treating her client loads differently based on their race.
People are being waitlisted and kicked off with no other support. It's a shame that you can't get support when you make too much but can't afford groceries.

Ms. Mayleah is the best! I had been up there before meeting her at least two other times & spoke to a supervisor. Come to find out my son’s tuition was not paid for four months straight and I had no idea because the last supervisor I spoke with reassured me it would be done. Immediately I had to go up to Urban League And beg for help. Ms. Mayleah listened carefully to my concerns, was very attentive, empathetic, and addressed the situation immediately. I wasn’t there long and she managed to resolve the problem by the end of the workday. Not only did she email the servicing entity the pertinent documents to keep my son in school, so I could work, she also copied me on the email as I requested. We need more workers like her and I hope she’s being treated amazing, because she is well appreciated. Thank you.
