There is a man there that was so rude and hateful that made me wanna jump through the phone and choke him. He has no clue as to how to speak to someone. He made me feel like scum and as far as a Christian, I don't think so. You will get no help here. Texas Rent Relief helped me. The ladies you talk to are nice but that guy was a complete rear end.

I needed a box fan for my upstairs room which feels like it's a 150 to 200 degrees, plus I also grabbed another one for an elderly man who has no air conditioning. Thanks so much Interfaith Ministries.

If you seek help here, be ready to be treated like less than the gum on the bottom of these "Christians" shoes. From the condescending receptionist/data entry person to the case workers. You will be made to feel ashamed of yourself for needing help. Even if you are disabled or facing adversity. Then ultimately told you're not getting help. When you ask why, you will be told something that doesn't make sense and then told "I'm done talking to you". Would give them 0 stars but that's not an option

Be aware that you will have to call multiple times before you speak to anyone. They have not returned any of my messages. The ladies are wonderfully kind over the phone but no one explains that in order for them to help you, you must be able to pay half of the amount that is needed for whatever help you are asking for. The man l spoke to was not very polite, and pretty much told me they were not able to help me . However the food pantry did provide some food items as well as a small box of laundry soap and a gallon size ziplock bag of toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, roll of tp and other useful items that l did not expect. It was unexpected and honestly very generous gift.

The ladies that volunteer at this organization are always eager to help but when Byron the Director gets the final say you can best bet that it is a NO. My wife and I have not asked for help from them but once for a water bill and after my wife begging and pleading he finally said ok. We have called local churches including First Baptist and they tell us they pour their funds into interfaith and to seek assistance through them. They just recieved a large amount of money this month through a donation and we were told its for atmos gas only. You would think that someone with severe medical conditions could get help with getting their water turned back on especially during the covid pandemic. I encourage everyone to donate to an organaztion that will help its community with out final say and judgement of a man who is so rude to people during their hardships.
