Do not trust the administrative and client support workers! We were turned away at the gate, when we told them we were told to arrive in person for help they refused unless we called the hotline. When I pointed out that the information was provided by the hotline she gaslit us and said that the hotline worker gave us false information. We were extremely confused and they continued to tell us to leave and call the hotline. Victims shouldn't need to run in circles to receive help during crisis.

No one would answer the phone and when I did get through they wouldn't help. Told them I was living on the streets after an altercation with an ex and I'm still homeless. No compassion or care for some residents. Katia is the only person that I talked to on several occasions and they never had room for me but if I had someone else call with a false name they had room.

I lived in this shelter for 6 months when I was 8 yrs old. I’m now 26 & the thought of searching this shelter just came to my head today. I will forever be grateful for the help this shelter gave my mom with my siblings when we didn’t have anything else. The reviews are bad but from my experience in 2009 was great, something I would never forget. Memories I still talk about til this day. May God bless this shelter & all the women in here today 🙏
