A friend was telling me about all the problems her and roommates had with a property they rented (rats, fleas from said rats, maggots, not getting security deposit, no heat when snow in ground…) and I just need to remember properties to avoid in future.

The worst landlord I’ve ever had! I followed everything to the T! Gave him a 30 day verbal and written notice that I was moving out. After I was on a month to month. No lease! He tried to take me to court to keep my security deposit. But I fought it. Don’t EVER rent from this man. He is very rude and when u first meet him, he plays this role of a sick elderly man. But he was very mean to me and my family. Do yourself a favor and avoid renting from him.. If I could give him 0 stars, I would.

Mr. Hailey is the worst landlord ever in the history of landlords! He neglected to have my apartment inspected before I moved in. Halfway into my one year lease I had to fight to have an inspection done. The apartment failed massively! It failed for mice infestation, insufficient heat, missing screens on windows, windows that don't open or stay open, porch trip hazards(front and side), leaking refrigerator, rust in freezer, makeshift locks on the windows,improperly working light fixtures and the side steps not having railing. He waited over three weeks to address the issues and he only addressed a few of them. The 2nd inspection failed again and because I have a voucher Mr. Hailey refused to make any more repairs therefore forcing my voucher reps to stop paying the rent consequently forcing my daughter and me out of the apartment which means I have to pay applications fees and moving expenses. Mr. Hailey should pay!!
