I started attending Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday nights during Lent, and it’s become a peaceful part of my week. The 7 PM Mass works perfectly with my schedule—I can get there after work and make it through traffic without stress. The service itself is simple and moves along quickly, with only about 10 to 20 people attending, which makes it feel very personal and reflective.
After Mass, I like to spend some time in the Adoration Chapel for quiet prayer. It’s a great way to wind down and reconnect spiritually. The church itself is quite large, with plenty of parking. I recommend driving around to the far side of the building to park—it’s usually easier than stopping at the first lot you see.
If you’ve never been to a weeknight Mass, I really encourage it. The quiet and stillness are something special, especially in the middle of a busy week.

Wish they'd be nicer at the food bank. I went there today, and I saw there were 2 bags ready to give away. Sure I got there at 1:25 pm, and it was by luck. I thought it was a God given moment due to the circumstances me and my family find ourselves in currently. And mind you I wasn't gonna pass by but I decided to give it a shot, but the lady with glasses and the green shirt that was there today walked up to our car, very rudely told us to turn our car off, repeated her command a second time when our car was already off, asked for my ID and as I was reaching for it, she coldly said: you know we close at 2:30 right? I know she meant 1:30, bc yes that when they close but again they had the bags already out on the table. And I said yes and smiled and I apologized however she just kept being passive aggressive so I changed my mind and said no thank you and she said "alright you don't want any food? okay that's you're decision". All I said was God bless you and drove away. I went because I am in need. But people who act like that during a person's most vulnerable moment makes it seem like I was begging, made me feel inhumane....so to everyone there God bless.
