Terrible place to go if you need actual help. My adult daughter came in today after the police did a welfare check on her and encouraged her to come here for “support” which is the last thing she got. They sat her in a room by herself for a hour and half. Promised her snacks and a blanket that never came. By this time she just wanted to leave. She was excited to see if they could help her which other than making a safety plan when she expressed she wanted to leave was all they did. I was concerned for her and tried to visit her after she texted me. They refused to even tell her that her mom was here, and told me to leave. Very rude. The place is a joke and so is the mental health system in general. They don’t even deserve the one star I gave them.

The Batterers program was the best. The instructors, cared about helping you reach your potential. They gave me the tools to help prevent my abusive behavior from getting to that stage where I get violent. I recommend Heartland to anyone who needs help.

Can not get ANYONE to answer the phones. You have to leave a message. When you call one of the other numbers they instruct you to push 5 for English. Where you are forced to listen the instructions in Spanish too. After this long ordeal you still don't get any answers. They are supposed to HELP. I wish I never got involved with then because it has only led to NOTHING but aggravation and frustration. I NEED HELP and I am not getting it. They acted like they were going to help but won't responded after their initial response. This is cruel to someone seeking help they promised to give.
