A representative from this agency was sent to the courthouse to help me in my domestic violence case. The HELP came in the form of being told that my husband had a good lawyer and complaints about my handwriting. They were more helpful when I took out a restraining order years before but even that time they were unhelpful and I was yelled at my the judge while I was too traumatized to process what was going. They seem to have an indifference towards you depending on who your husbands lawyer is and they definitely have an image of the perfect victim and I’m clearly not a victim in their eyes

Wow, a lot must have changed from when I used Harbor's services. It's hard to believe it's going to be 23 years since they helped me & my four children. I can never say Thank You enough. I will nvr forget the Judge there that told me to "kiss & make up for the sake of your 4 children" during the ex's arraignment for assault per dv & attempted agg assault on a minor ×s 2. Everyone standing beside me did a little gasping sound. That was when it became apparent that the children and I were not going to be safe in Johnston County. I see these reviews and cannot believe it is the same place. The children & I were treated with love, empathy, & encouragement. Thank you.

Came here in need of help! They did not make me feel welcomed. They said they would help but put me in an unknown disclosed location that was an hour away and refused to tell me where they would place me and my daughter at! That was a red flag. I felt that I have a right to know where they were going to send me. Plus they asked so many invasive questioning. They do look down on you like you’re money to them so I left.. I do not recommend this place to any battered women..
