Saturday March 5, 2022 was 40th Anniversary Reunion concert for 'Acappela' at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ on Walnut Hill Ln. We traveled 1-½ hours into Dallas to see the event. Highland Oaks' huge campus was easy to find with Google Maps GPS and once we arrived at Walnut Hill Ln was natural to access and egress. The sanctuary was acoustically perfect for the 'Acappela' concert, the seating comfortable, chair-to-stage sightlines nicely engineered, and the restrooms well planned. Two things made a big impression on me: ① Brought back memories of sleeping beside my son (who died in '94 from cancer) in the hospital for many nights and the conversations we had between songs on his 'Acappela' tapes. ② Being Church of Christ denomination, and not using instruments, the whole congregation sang parts, so when the director started a song and motioned the congregation to join in, it was almost like being in heaven • the voices of 1,000 saints blended with the angels. Brought goosebumps to my skin, tears to my eyes, and anticipation to my heart. I don't know much about Highland Oaks' ministries or the effect they have on the community, but their facility was the consummate location for 40th Anniversary Reunion concert for 'Acappela.'

Great people at the Church. The Dallas sector of the DFW Church rents their Fellowship Hall for Sunday Service. We are there at 10am most Sundays please come join us. Please verify at website DFWChurch.org for times and who we are.

I was there for an event. I am not a member. The people I met are seemed nice. The event room was very large and the tables and chairs provides were clean and well taken care of. Room was large enough to hold several hundred people if you are looking for a large venue.
