Update (given 6 months no response from Gladney): We found a wonderful organization that treats their families with respect. It's going great. Please look around! :) After spending a significant amount of time and money they concluded our relationship as prospective adoptive parents. After we volunteered our time to help during an international hosting event, did all of their training, and attended many events including driving across the state we felt discarded because one meeting did not go well for a prospective child. The irony of abandoning us (they are supposed to help children) without responding to our email trying to at least end things on good terms is shameful. We wouldn't have written this review otherwise. Check out all of the recent reviews. Clearly something is wrong here. Don't waste your time here and find a more empathetic place to put your child up for adoption or find a child for your family.

We came to Gladney after having adopted our son through another agency, and that prior experience was extremely difficult. It left us feeling discouraged and almost prevented us from pursuing another adoption. From our very first conversation with Gladney, however, we immediately knew this experience would be completely different — in the best possible way. Gladney’s team demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what adoptive families need to feel supported and informed. Throughout the entire journey, we felt genuinely cared for and never once felt alone or uncertain about the next step. Our process included a failed match, which was emotionally challenging, but Gladney handled it with such empathy and grace. One aspect we deeply appreciated was that there was no financial penalty to us because of the failed match. That policy speaks volumes about how Gladney prioritizes the well-being of families during vulnerable moments. Once we moved forward with a successful match, the process was organized, transparent, and clearly communicated. Every step was explained thoroughly, and their team was always available to guide us, answer questions, and provide reassurance. Their approach helped restore our trust in the adoption process and allowed us to feel hopeful and confident again. We also valued the financial clarity Gladney provided, along with the grant support that helped offset part of the cost. Their ethical standards and commitment to both adoptive families and birth families were evident in every interaction. Because of Gladney, our family grew in the most meaningful way, and we are forever grateful. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering adoption. After experiencing two very different agency approaches, we can say without hesitation that Gladney stands out for its compassion, integrity, and exceptional support.

I brought my Child Development students to Gladney for a field trip on November 19. Kerry, Elizabeth, and the Gladney staff made this experience absolutely AMAZING and my students are still talking about what a fun and informational field trip this was. We really enjoyed the curriculum and how they filled every moment we spent at the facility with meaningful information and activities that really helped the students grasp the impact of adoption. I cannot thank the Gladney team enough for accommodating our large group and will definitely bring back my future Child Development classes!
